BoI Youth Capacity Building & Access2Finance Entrepreneurship Programs

Growing Businesses Foundation (GBF) is a partner with the Bank of Industry (BoI) facilitating several State capacity interventions for young entrepreneurs and serving Youth Corp members in the North-East, South-East and the Lagos Locations of Nigeria for the GEF and the YES-P classroom training component; as part of the flagship Programs initiated and funded by the Bank of Industry (BoI).

The Youth Enterprise Support Programme (YES-Programme) is BoI’s approach at addressing the worrisome phenomenon of youth unemployment in Nigeria, by developing the capacity of the youths and funding their business ideas. The YES-Programme is aimed at equipping young people with the skills and knowledge to be self-employed, by starting and managing their own businesses profitably. The credit line available to participants upon completing the training is N5m.

The Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund (GEF) is a special N2 billion empowerment programme for serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which was launched in 2015. This scheme is also in collaboration with the Skill and Acquisition Department (SAED) of NYSC.

Over 500 MSMEs and entrepreneurs have benefited through GBF’s facilitated sessions.
