In November 2020, GBF commenced the 2nd phase of Guinness empowerment project in Kaduna State.
This phase of the project empowered 90 women from underserve communities across three Local Government Areas (Zaria, Kaduna North and Chikun) in Kaduna State.
The project aims to position the women from underserved communities to do business as means of moving their way out of poverty. The Guinness Empowerment Project (GEP) took place on Wednesday, the 23rd of June 2021 at Thamis Event Center, Barnawa, Kaduna State.
The following parastatals were represented; KADSEMA, Kaduna State Ministry of Women Affairs, and other Government officials.
90 women from 3 LGAs (Zaria/Sabon Gari, Chikun, and Kaduna South/North) were empowered with ₦28,000 worth Guinness Nig. Plc products each. However, the products were subsidized to ₦15,000. Also, they were trained on the GEP business model, general business skills, and simple arithmetic.
