GBF carried out a sensitization exercise on behalf of the LAGOS CIVIL SOCIETY COALITION AGAINST COVID-19 in Alimosho Local Government Area on the 13th of August, 2020. The areas visited were schools, motor parks and mini stores.

The beneficiaries were sensitized on the possible ways they could prevent the spread of COVID-19 VIRUS through Social distancing, use of face mask and proper hand hygiene. They were also taught how to wear face mask safely (how to put on and take off a face mask), wash hands properly and how to use hand sanitisers where it is impossible to wash their hands.

The sensitization process had a welcoming approach as communication with beneficiaries was done in their most convenient language and they were encouraged to make contacts with COVID-19 emergency line if they notice symptoms of the virus.

A short and concise online form was created to capture basic information of the recipients’ perception and understanding of COVID-19 virus.
