GUINNESS GRAIN DISTRIBUTION

In September 2020, Guinness Nigeria commended Growing Business Foundation (GBF) on its commitment to supporting the less privileged and vulnerable groups during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. 

To underscore Guinness Nigeria’s commitment to supporting the pandemic fight, a donation support of 6,000 bags of Sorghum to Kaduna, 3,000 bags of Garri to Kwara and 1,000 bags of Maize to Minna for the vulnerable groups was given to GBF for fare distribution across the selected states. 

A total of 50,000kg worth of grains were distributed to 2906 women across 3 states. 

GBF also partnered with Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), SEAP Unilever Key Distributor for security, venue and storage of the grains. 

The distribution was conducted in some selected local governments of three states in Nigeria which are Kwara, Niger and Kaduna State. 

The following factors were considered during selection of the beneficiaries; 

1) Living 

2) Condition 

3) Crisis prone areas 

4) Displaced persons and 

5) Availability of resource persons.
